Understanding Microsoft Dynamics 365 PSA Data: Transaction Category Price is not on the PSA site map as standard. Use Advanced Find to locate the entity details.
Transaction Category Pricing defines if an expense is going to be charged onto a customer at cost or with a percentage increase.
Example Transaction Category Price
For each unique combination of price list and transaction category a transaction category price record needs to be imported.
Importance of Transaction Category Price
- A Transaction Category Price record is required against Transaction Categories for an expense to be submitted.
- Expenses are associated to a project and a project relates to a price list, therefore a Transaction Category Price record is required for every unique relationship between Transaction Category and Price List.
Technical Details
- Currency, Price Lists, Unit Group and Units need to be imported or setup before importing in Transaction Category Prices.
- For Price Lists that are created against a new Project Contract or Quote, the system automatically creates the Transaction Category Price records.
