Role competency requirements are the skills associated with a resource role i.e. a Project Manager may have linked skills of Agile Methodology and SCRUM.

Importance of Role Competency Requirements

  • Role competency requirements are not an essential part of PSA but it can be useful to associate skills with a specific role.

Technical Details

  • This entity is called ‘Role Competency Requirement’ in PSA.
  • Schema name – rolecompetencyrequirement
  • Note: the Advanced Find form is different to the Quick Create form, the fields ‘role’, ‘skill’ and ‘proficiency’ are the only ones that should be used. In ‘OOTB’ PSA, the Advanced Find form has a required field for ‘name’ that is not relevant.
  • The entity is not displayed in the D365 Sales or PSA apps.
