You are here: >Understanding PSA Data: Blog 6: Associate Cost Price Lists with Organizational Units
Microsoft Dynamics PSA: When Price Lists have been imported, it is important to then associate any Cost Price Lists with the relevant Organizational Units that have been set up as outlined in the above section. This can be done by navigating to the Organizational Unit form and adding your Price List to the Cost Price Lists sub grid through the ‘+’ sign and looking up the Cost Price List you previously created/imported.
1.1.2 Example
1.1.3 The Importance of Associating your Cost Price Lists to an Organizational Unit
-
- Cost Price Lists are required in PSA to calculate Project estimations for the cost of a Project to an Organisation.
- When a bookable resource creates a record such as a project opportunity or quote, the cost price list will derive from the organizational unit assigned to their resource.
1.1.4 Technical Details
- This relationship is difficult to import with the standard Dynamics 365 import features. Recommend setting up manually unless a 3rd party import tool is being used.
