Microsoft Dynamics PSA Transaction Customer Prices

Transaction Category Pricing defines if an expense is going to be charged onto a customer at cost or with a percentage increase.

Example Transaction Category Price

For each unique combination of price list and transaction category a transaction category price record needs to be imported.

Importance of Transaction Category Price

  • A Transaction Category Price record is required against Transaction Categories for an expense to be submitted.
  • Expenses are associated to a project and a project relates to a price list, therefore a Transaction Category Price record is required for every unique relationship between Transaction Category and Price List.

Technical Details

  • Currency, Price Lists, Unit Group and Units need to be imported or setup before importing in Transaction Category Prices.
  • For Price Lists that are created against a new Project Contract or Quote, the system automatically creates the Transaction Category Price records.
