IDA Ireland backed company announces 100 new jobs

Technology company eBECS has announced the creation of 100 new tech jobs in Ireland.

eBECS first established operations in Ireland in 2016 serving its clients across the UK and Ireland. eBECS specialises in delivering Microsoft business applications and has announced the expansion of their presence in Ireland with an additional 100 jobs. These jobs are spread across Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP’s) and both their graduate and return to work programme. eBECS Ireland offers the flexibility for their employees to work from home / anywhere within Ireland.  Their returnship programme reaches out to those who perhaps have significant business skills, but have been unemployed for at least 18 months, so gives them a chance to re-enter the market.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Business, Enterprise & Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD said “I am delighted to see the creation of 100 highly skilled new jobs by eBECS. Its unique business model, whereby the staff can work from home, means staff can be based anywhere in the country.  This is a really exciting, innovative, company which is paving the way for more flexible and family friendly forms of working and I wish them well for the future.

“eBECS has been excited by the capabilities of our existing staff in Ireland and the digital transformation that it has provided to our customers.  We are now looking to accelerate the hiring of additional talent from Ireland. We feel the ability for our staff to work from home, or anywhere within Ireland provides staff with a unique work/life balance,” states James Finnegan, eBECS Ireland Country Manager

Sam Dharmasiri, eBECS Sales Director said ‘Ireland is a significant market for eBECS, so I am delighted that eBECS have decided to further expand operations in Ireland, with the creation of an additional 100 jobs.  I really appreciate the support of the IDA, and I look forward to eBECS’s continued success in both the UK and in Ireland”.

CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan said: “Increasingly some of the world’s best-known brands are moving towards the innovative remote working business model. Today’s announcement by eBECS represents a fantastic opportunity for individuals to work from home in regional locations and enjoy a better work/life balance. eBECS will have unrestricted access to talent across the breadth of the country and I wish them every success as they embark on this new chapter of their business expansion.”
