Microsoft Dynamics 365 PSA v9 Release – New Scheduling Features – Specify Patterns – Part 2
You are here: >Microsoft Dynamics 365 PSA v9 Release – New Scheduling Features – Specify Patterns – Part 2
Another new feature that has appeared with the latest release of Microsoft Dynamics 365 PSA is Specify Pattern. This feature is only available when selecting a Generic Resource that has not been booked yet.
This new feature allows for a Resource Manager or Project Manager to specify when exactly that resource is booked, with a drag and drop interface.
Below shows a change, note the To Date has been highlighted red as I have extended out the booking.
On Save I am alerted of this mismatch.
Note on my Project Team requirements this does not automatically update my To Date on the default view, even though my booking has not extended out till 27/11/2017.
If I click into the Project Team Member Information the Resource Requirement section is updated with the new To Date.
The actual changes are transferred and visually available when a Resource Manager is allocating a resource.
